HERB CHCKEN





HERB CHICKEN...

A novel way of having chicken in a jiffy.. but no compromise on taste and quality . 


RECIPE:

Ingr:

Chicken drumsticks       4
Onions                             3
Ginger                             1/2"
Garlic                              4  flakes
Green chillies                 6
Basil leaves                     1 bunch   
Curry leaves                  10 sprigs
Coriander leaves          1 bunch
Pepper powder               2  tsp 
Turmeric powder           1/4 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for searing

Method:
  1. Make a paste of all the above ingredients . Marinate the chicken pieces for 10 mts ( if there is time, for 1/2 an hr)
  2. Place the marinated pieces in a cooker as shown above. Put the leftover marinade on top.
  3. Cook on slow heat and allow for the 1st whistle. Remove.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and place the chicken on high flame to sear on both sides (5 mts each). When nicely browned, remove and serve.
Note:
  1. Herb variations and quantity of ingredients can be adjusted according to taste.
  2. Chicken gets cooked well in the cooker itself so don't overcook in the pan.
  3. No water to be used at any stage.
