RECIPE:
Ingr:
Yam / Rataalu 400 gm
Corn flour 2 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander pd 1 tsp
Turmeric pd 1/4 tsp
Cumin pd 1/2 tsp
Lemon juice 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil to fry 2 tbsp
Method:
- Wash and cut yam to thin square slices as shown above.
- Mix all ingredients except oil and make a marination.
- Marinate the yam slices and let them dry for half an hour.
- Heat oil in a thick bottomed pan on medium flame.
- Place the marinated yam slices on the hot pan.
- Cook on sim, uncovered and toast them on both sides.
- Little oil may be drizzled on the pan sides for crispy yam.
- Serve as a side dish with rice and curry/sambhar.
