RECIPE:
Ingr:
Bambino Vermicelli 1 1/2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Hot water 2 cups
Dry fruits/nuts of choice 1 tbsp
Cardamon pd 1/2 tsp
Ghee 1 tbsp
Method:
- Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan.
- Fry raisins, cashew to golden brown, remove & keep aside.
- Same ghee, fry bambino vermicelli to golden brown.
- Add hot water and let it cook covered on sim.
- When the vermicelli is cooked, add sugar and stir nicely.
- Sprinkle cardamom pd and mix well.
- Cook for some more time till the mixture is semi solid.
- Remove from heat even when some liquid is still there.
- Sprinkle dry fruits/nuts. Serve hot or cold.
Note:
- For any sweet, sprinkling a tiny granule of salt enhances the flavour; here too I have done the same.
- For getting a beautiful colour & finish, add little saffron water.
